    Chapter 1: Lion's Roar
  • On July 7, 1973, Shin'ichi Yamamoto gazed intently at the screen in the screening room of the Toho Studios in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo. It was a preview showing of the completed film version of his novel, The Human Revolution.

    Chapter 2: Gratitude for One's Mentor
  • Wishing to support his mentor's hometown, Atsuta, and wholeheartedly wanting to support their prosperity, Shin'ichi visits the area and the people of the village gained a deeper understanding of the Soka Gakkai and came to feel quite proud that its former president Josei Toda hailed from their hometown.

    Chapter 3: Moving Forward
  • Shin'ichi Yamamoto was profoundly determined to make the organization in each region, prefecture and ward into a shining golden pillar of the Soka Gakkai that would not crumble in the face of any onslaught. Toward that end, he was constantly on the move, visiting every region throughout Japan. He said that: "We who have embraced faith in the Mystic Law have nothing to fear. The most important thing is to summon forth the power of faith and practice. Making 'Daimoku First!' our byword, let us continue moving forward, living lives of tremendous victory that are centered on vigorous prayer.

    Chapter 4: Dynamic Strides
  • The Soka Gakkai's Year of Society, 1974, at the January 1, New Year's meetings held at the Headquarters, Shin'ichi spoke saying: "In this Year of Society, the Soka Gakkai will strive to deepen and strengthen ties with the community through the promotion of cultural events and other public activities." He travels to Hong Kong and realizing there are a thousand members who are leaders at the group level and above says to the leaders, "You have really made dynamic strides forward! Tomorrow, I'll give my all to encouraging the members, I'm only in Hong Kong for six days and five nights, but I plan to accomplish five or ten years' worth of work while I'm here."
